Established more than ten years ago, to preserve and provide initiatives for the inclusive participation of various multicultural communities, and is committed to presenting world arts and cultures into the Westchester County and the community. Our cultural organization is currently based in Mount Vernon, New York, we work throughout Westchester and Rockland Counties and New York.

A’vitar Definition: Derived from the word Avata’ra—from the ancient classic language of India. Meaning: “Divine inspiration”

A’Vitar Foundation of Westchester, a 501c3 arts and culture organization was created to bring together the many multicultural communities, for inclusion and collaboration of world arts and cultures. As a strong arts and culture organization, the A’Vitar Foundation understands that it is vital to connecting people's lives to the arts.

CHAIRMAN

Dillard Boone has more than 27 years' experience in the nonprofit and public arena, with 20 years in production and event management. Previously, he served as Deputy Commissioner for Planning and Community Development for the City of Mount Vernon, NY, and The Agency for Child Development for the City of New York. He began this venture because he understands the need for a viable arts and cultural organization.

A'vitar Foundation of Westchester & New York was founded to develop strategies, for the production of events and cultural programs, performances, exhibits, literary and cultural events. To highlight the talents which express the rites, roots and rituals, which are the essence of cultural traditions. "We want to achieve this through artistic expression."

The multicultural experience is the future, this is evolving within every community in NYC, Westchester County, as well as the national and global levels. "We need to enable the creative talents and give skilled artists the opportunity to enhance their visability to the broader communities of the world".
